The Arlington Libraries Foundation exists to raise awareness of the role of the libraries in Arlington, Massachusetts and raise funds to support their work.

The Foundation seeks to create ways to build a legacy for the libraries and create ongoing sources of support. This is achieved in a number of ways including:

  • An annual campaign to support purchases of materials for the Robbins and the Fox libraries

  • An annual campaign to open the Robbins Library on Sundays from October to May (when required)

  • Creating endowed funds and named funds at the request of donors

  • Providing a structure for bequests

  • Collaborating with the Library, the Library Trustees, the Friends Organizations of the Robbins and the Fox to generate support for strengthening our libraries

The Foundation is a 501(c)3 and all donations to the Foundation are tax deductible.

In 2013 the Libraries Board of Trustees established the Arlington Libraries Foundation to continue the long-standing tradition of neighbors and friends in the community supporting our libraries. The libraries and library patrons continue to benefit from these extended services.

The Foundation Board and the Libraries thank all who have contributed. We hope you are able to experience the growth and progress in resources and services at both the Fox and Robbins Libraries.
